<h3>Migration SMT - package repository service</h3>
<p>Package repository server preconfigured in OTC public images<br />
will be upgraded and shifted into a new infrastructure. </p>

<p>After migration, IP address of SMT service URL will be provided out of<br />
a new network segment: <strong>198.19.0.0/16</strong><br />
Access to this network segment is allowed for all ECS by default.<br />
Please ensure not to block this network segment in private security groups. </p>
<p>For migration, there is </p>
<ul>
<li>no service downtime </li>
<li>no need to reconfigure running ECS or existing images </li>
</ul>

<h3>Discontinue Ubuntu 18.04</h3>
<p><strong>OTC public image Standard_Ubuntu_18.04 will be discontinued on 31th December 2023.</strong></p>
<p>what does that mean?</p>
<p>public images will be no longer listed in OTC public image list</p>
<ul>
<li>Standard_Ubuntu_18.04_latest</li>
<li>Standard_Ubuntu_18.04_prev
</li>
</ul>
<p>OTC internal package repositories preconfigured in Standard_Ubuntu_18.04 images will be available as long as they are oficially provided by vendor.

Already existing ECS installed with one of these images</p>

Using a discontinued image is without OTC support.</p>
